Aerospace Fabrication & Materials, LLC (AFM) is pleased to announce a rebrand for its SpaceWrap™ product line, which will now be known as AstraWrap™. The Astra™ brand name promotes a series of space products dedicated to the protection of spacecraft in orbit around the Earth and beyond. This line of subassembly products strengthens AFM’s material brand recognition as the company embarks on projects that create specialized passive thermal control solutions using cutting-edge thin films and engineered fabrics.
“Our ability to combine and collate a variety of technical materials – incorporating their optical and physical properties to deter heat flow in space systems – is at the heart of what we do as a company,” stated Brent Anderson, Business Development Manager at AFM. “The Astra™ brand helps us convey component-level data on the performance of engineered products, so they can be used in a wide range of custom end-use devices. These are products that Aerospace Fabrication designs and builds, or provides in kit form to new space economy customers, creating finished goods to meet their needs.”
The Astra™ brand encompasses a variety of product lines, including AstraWrap™, AstraWrap™ HT, AstraPair™, AstraLam™, AstraLoft™, and AstraTape™. Each product is offered in easy-to-use forms to allow the end-user to create any required Single Layer Insulation (SLI), Multilayer Insulation (MLI) blanket, or similar passive thermal control product.
